Subject: Urgent Report on Orbital Mirror Bio-Glass Failure

REPORT SUMMARY:

This report addresses the systemic failure of self-healing bio-glass utilized in the Orbital Mirrors (OMs) across the Solisglade. For over a millennium, the OMs and their bio-synthetic glass have been integral in protecting life across R-39. They have performed critical roles in atmospheric regulation, artificial sky simulations, energy harvesting, and shielding against excess radiation from the twin suns.

Recent observations from the Science Division indicate the bio-glass has sharply declined in its ability to self-heal, resulting in a 51.7% reduction in energy output over the past sixteen  operational cycles. By our current model estimates, this reduction in energy output is expected to continue, potentially leading to total loss of energy in Cystirin. We believe that the failure of the bio-glass will eventually jeopardize the structural integrity of the OMs on a galactic level, resulting in Solisglade-wide power failures and making citizens vulnerable to solar storms.

Preliminary data suggested that flux radiation from the twin suns may have contributed to the malfunction. Though further analysis is required to determine, more definitively, whether it is the only cause of the failing bio-glass or if other factors play a role in its decline. Immediate action is recommended to initiate manual repairs and further investigate the long-term implications of this failure.
